We've now done this and it works. If anyone wants a copy of the demo and doesn't have a friend they can get a copy from, send us a USB stick and we'll copy and send it back to you Smile

Hmmm. I and a couple of friends managed to do this with the GoW3 Beta (which we hardly played), but I read somewhere it doesn't work for the DOA5 demo


Do you have to do anything to the file or can you just copy it over without changing it?

Just copy it to the USB stick, put it in another 360 and copy it to the hard drive. The first time we ran it, it said it couldn't do it, but the second time it worked just fine and now works all the time.

Not to encourage piracy or anything, but if it is possible to copy the DOA5 demo from one console to another via USB stick, then it should also be possible to distribute the demo via the internet

This is how one of my friends initially obtained the Gears of War 3 Beta, which he then proceeded to share with a bunch of other people by simply copying it to their HDD


Just saying (because it was totally fine to rip-off EPIC Games, but I'd rather actually support Team Ninja)

As far as I've heard, some people have allready uploaded the demo to the internet, but I dont know if its working!!!

And to just make it clear, we will not allow links to sites where it is possible to download the demo and put it onto your console on DOAEU Smile

If your friend was able to get the Gears 3 beta than the DOA5 should be possible but you got to be careful if you decide to do it

The version already uploaded to the internet is the 'Jtagged' version. Its only possible to download and play through a Jtagged (hacked) Xbox360

I haven't found anyone who has uploaded the standard file yet, though...and even if I had, I certainly wouldn't post the link here because of the rules Laughing
